18/05/2018 – Subcutanea + Substereo @ Artliners

On Friday, May 18th the Artliners will host an unplugged gig of rock bands Subcutanea and Substereo. It promises to become a pretty exciting and cool evening, full of grungy rock tunes.

18/05/2018 – Karneval der Kulturen 2018

If you’ve never been to the Karneval der Kulturen in Berlin you have missed on one of the best representations of the essence of Berlin culture.

Once a year for a whole weekend all Berlin comes together to celebrate its colourful and unique, multi-cultural, vividly beating soul with a big street festival that spreads from Hermannplatz in Neukölln all the way to Möckernbrücke.

Karneval der Kulturen is an invitation to everyone to experience the cultural, gastronomical and musical variety of the city. It’s easy to spend the whole weekend strolling from stall to stall, watching bands play in the streets or to take in the whirlwind that is the parade on Sunday.

A must see!

17/05/2018 – Jazz Club feat. Space Tigers

Let’s do some Jazz in da Club, Space Tigers. The Space Tigers play the Jazz Club Session at Bar Bobu on Thursday, May 17th. It’s going to be a night full of Jazz, Rock and Electro sounds. The Space Tigers are spacy and have the license to make you dance. Bring a towel.

Doors open at 7pm. Entry is free but donations are always welcome.

01/05/2018 – Free Open Air Bolzplatz

Around the celebrations for the 1st of May there’ll be a Free Open Air at the Bolzplatz in Falkensteinstraße in Kreuzberg. Come and listen to Techno & House, dance, have fun and support the local Cafés and Spätis. Entrance is free and everybody is welcome. Just take care of your trash, avoid bringing glass bottles and pets and be friendly and respectful with the people around you.

The 1st of May is International Workers Day and in Berlin it’s celebrated with the Myfest 2018 in Kreuzberg. It’s a tradition. It’s a festival. It’s a great vibe. It’s as Berlin as it can get. Don’t miss out on this.

28/04/2018: Michael Brinkworth live at Galatea

On Saturday the 28th of April it’s time to dust off your boots and go to the Galatea for the traveling guitar and harmonica wielding troubadour Michael Brinkworth is playing. He’s working on a new album and will probably pop out some of his new songs that night. He’ll be supported by Stefan Bregenzer (drums) and Tim Granbacka (the rest). To round it all up Tim will open the night with some of his own songs. So come on down to Michael Brinkworth & Tim Granbacka live at Galatea.

Psst, wanna hear something cool? Ella Clayton plays the Friday Night Live at the R/D this Friday. She’s a great singer songwriter from London, who resides in Berlin at the moment to record her debut EP and has already built a solid fan base in the city. It’s definitely worth a listen 😉
