It’s been 50 years since the movie was first released. Ever since it has been considered to be one of the most influential pieces of cinematic artistry ever created. It crosses borders of genre and style. A timeless classic and right on time for it’s anniversary the Filmrauspalast shows it on the BIG screen.
To celebrate its anniversary there will be screenings of the restored 70mm 4K-DCP version of “2001 – A Space Odyssey”. Additionally the Filmrauschpalast will have several screenings of the 35mm version of “2001 – A Space Odyssey” too.
It’s a must for anyone who likes film and for anyone who wants to see history first hand.
On the 1st of July the Filmrauschpalast is showing the 35mm version at 2:30pm.

Check out Holzmarkt25 and chill authentically Berlin-style by the water.
The cult place-to-be Bar25 had to close in 2010 and left many Berliners without their favorite location to spend the weekend. It was a venue, that made people feel like the day had more than 24 hours and that life is good.
But finally, on the 1st of May this year, Holzmarkt25 (re)opened. It is bigger and features the same vibe, that make it an amazing reincarnation of something many thought couldn’t be recreated. But judge that for yourself and visit Holzmarkt25!
