Skatehalle at the Cassiopeia/RAW in Berlin Friedrichshian

Not far from the U inn Berlin Hostel in Friedrichshain you will find the Skatehalle at the RAW/Cassiopeia Complex. The Skatehalle isn’t just a famous spot for Berliners, lots of skaters from all over Europe come to visit with their boards. We have a lot of spots for outdoor activities but when the weather is bad its always good to have an alternative.
The Skatehalle is hosting many events and workshops. The next major event is held in July.
The BRIGHT – Tradeshow is held in Berlin(Yes it’s Fashion Week again) from the 3rd till the 5th of July. Every year there are cool new trends in fashion and boarding styles to browse through with an easy finish to the day chilling at the Skatehalle. They have put up a huge program for you.

Starting at 6 pm with the Supra Demo. The whole Supra Team is coming to the Skatehalle to show off their skills. The list of names is long and distinguished. 2013 marks the 102th year of the Berlin Six Day Race in the heart of Germany since it began in 1909. Since its premier at the Velodrome on Landsberger Allee in 1997, the ISDE- creates a mood of good humour during the races; the days will not be short! So, in 2013 there is no doubt that there will be an attractive entertainment program!

First, each driver drove for himself, starting in 1899, but there still the usual two teams. The “Berlin Festival of Lights” is one of the biggest and best known illumination art festival in the world. According to the organizer we expect about 70000 runners, walkers, wheelchair athletes, hand cyclists and inline skaters for the marathon weekend. Alone over 40000 marathon runners are registered for the big event on the Sunday the 30th of September 2012.

This summer will be an amazing summer. London hosting the Olympic Games and Poland and Ukraine host our so much loved Euro 2012 Football Cup. Poland is not far away from Berlin, if you get one of the rare tickets you will probably have a time of your life. For the rest of us what is left is to watch the Europe Cup 2012 in one of its many public viewing locations in Berlin. And Berlin proved during World Cup 2010 which taken place in South Africa that we don’t need a World Cup in our own country to have a great party. Hundreds of thousand of football fans have joined the big public viewing events in Berlin. Again this year you got the chance to watch your favourite sport together with your friends here in Berlin next to the hostel in Friedrichshain.

 11 Freunde EM-Quartier

“11 Freunde” is the German Football-Fanzine. Together with the German Football Association DFB and some more or less important cultural and political organizations the “11 Freunde” gathering at the “Alter Postbahnhof” next to the Ostbahnhof and the East-Side-Gallery. Postbahnhof is a huge compound with indoor and outdoor areas. All games will be shown there. Before and after the matches you get a Polish/Ukraine cultural overdose. Bands, artist and football talks, everything a real football fan likes.

The Rosi’s Club is a typical Friedrichshain Club. It is located on Revaler Strasse, right at the heart of Berlin’s night-life district.
