Skatehalle at the Cassiopeia/RAW in Berlin Friedrichshian

Not far from the U inn Berlin Hostel in Friedrichshain you will find the Skatehalle at the RAW/Cassiopeia Complex. The Skatehalle isn’t just a famous spot for Berliners, lots of skaters from all over Europe come to visit with their boards. We have a lot of spots for outdoor activities but when the weather is bad its always good to have an alternative.
The Skatehalle is hosting many events and workshops. The next major event is held in July.
The BRIGHT – Tradeshow is held in Berlin(Yes it’s Fashion Week again) from the 3rd till the 5th of July. Every year there are cool new trends in fashion and boarding styles to browse through with an easy finish to the day chilling at the Skatehalle. They have put up a huge program for you.

Starting at 6 pm with the Supra Demo. The whole Supra Team is coming to the Skatehalle to show off their skills. The list of names is long and distinguished. What is a ‘Justin Bieber’

The music career of Justin Bieber began when the Canadians with 12 years of second place in the singing competition “Stratford Idol” finished. In the following period, he placed videos on YouTube in which he sang songs by artists such as Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo and Chris Brown, and were called in a short time over ten million times. There, he was discovered by his current manager, and invited to Atlanta, where Bieber met his idol and mentor Usher. A short time later, he signed a recording contract and released in 2009 “My World” is his début.

In March he gives his concert at the O2 World in Berlin Friedrichshain. Everybody who doesn’t know what we talking about right now should avoid the area on the 31.3.2013 unless you are well equipped with earplugs. Remember the good old 90s: Take That, Backstreet Boys or East17. Yes Boygroups!! Justin Bieber is basically the same.

Children under 6 years are not allowed into concerts.
Children / adolescents aged 6 to 16 years must be accompanied by an authorized person or guardian.

Berlin Six Days Race 2013

2013 marks the 102th year of the Berlin Six Day Race in the heart of Germany since it began in 1909. Since its premier at the Velodrome on Landsberger Allee in 1997, the ISDE- creates a mood of good humour during the races; the days will not be short! So, in 2013 there is no doubt that there will be an attractive entertainment program!

World-class sport, exciting shows and exquisite cuisine are the keywords. The “Six Days” have been held every at New York’s Madison Square Garden year since 1896. First, each driver drove for himself, starting in 1899, but there still the usual two teams. At the first meeting in Berlin in March 1909 in the Aussstellungshallen at the Zoo in the 150-meter oval crossbar, 15 teams fought for victory.

The “Berlin Festival of Lights” is one of the biggest and best known illumination art festival in the world. The worldwide known cultural monuments as well as buildings, streets and places of Berlin are set into scene for now over 10 years. National and internationally known artists and light designers presenting unusual illuminations, light art objects and designs. Artist of the still young art and culture form „Light“ find their arena at the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS. Around the Festival of Light many Events take place in Berlin. For example „Night of the open doors“(culture), „Jazz in the secretary gardens“(music) and many more.

Run Berlin Run!! 39th Berlin-Marathon

39th BMW Berlin-Marathon

Do you wanna be one of the million visitors for the 39th BMW Berlin-Marathon? Then save the next weekend for a trip to Berlin. According to the organizer we expect about 70000 runners, walkers, wheelchair athletes, hand cyclists and inline skaters for the marathon weekend. Alone over 40000 marathon runners are registered for the big event on the Sunday the 30th of September 2012.

Marathon Sightseeing

It is a great opportunity to see a lot from 11 suburbs including the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, the Siegessäule, Potsdamer Platz and many more. Or just enjoy the great Feelin’ and the joy from over 80 bands, which will play all kinds of music along the marathon course.

Marathon Afterparty

The GOYA Club will be the place to celebrate the end of a long day for all participant and friends. The “party-marathon” for skaters starts on the 29th at 9 pm and for all runners on the 30th of September at 8 pm. It’s 6 € for non-participants.

On Saturday 21.07.2012 at the Postbahnhof in Berlin Friedrichshain Hipsters from all over the world but most likely from Neukölln, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain will meet to find out who is the “Hippest” Hipster in town. Get yourself a Club-Mate or a Bubble Tea and join the (hip) crowd on Saturday at the Postbahnhof next to the East Side Gallery. You still don’t have any clue what this event will be about?

On Thursday the 21.6 the Fête de la Musique will take place in Berlin. The Fête de la Musique is an Open Air free Festival with stages all over Berlin. Street artists, Musicians and everybody who likes to show the world their very special talents is welcome to perform on the streets of Berlin. There is no special licence needed. As always our district Berlin Friedrichshain is very busy on this special day. Stages are everywhere and spontaneous Open Air parties guarantee you a wonderful summer day and with the Fête de la Nuit the party will not end before the next day. This summer will be an amazing summer. London hosting the Olympic Games and Poland and Ukraine host our so much loved Euro 2012 Football Cup. Poland is not far away from Berlin, if you get one of the rare tickets you will probably have a time of your life. For the rest of us what is left is to watch the Europe Cup 2012 in one of its many public viewing locations in Berlin. And Berlin proved during World Cup 2010 which taken place in South Africa that we don’t need a World Cup in our own country to have a great party. Hundreds of thousand of football fans have joined the big public viewing events in Berlin. Again this year you got the chance to watch your favourite sport together with your friends here in Berlin next to the hostel in Friedrichshain.

11 Freunde EM-Quartier

“11 Freunde” is the German Football-Fanzine. Together with the German Football Association DFB and some more or less important cultural and political organizations the “11 Freunde” gathering at the “Alter Postbahnhof” next to the Ostbahnhof and the East-Side-Gallery. Postbahnhof is a huge compound with indoor and outdoor areas. All games will be shown there. Before and after the matches you get a Polish/Ukraine cultural overdose. Bands, artist and football talks, everything a real football fan likes.

Rosi’s

The Rosi’s Club is a typical Friedrichshain Club. It is located on Revaler Strasse, right at the heart of Berlin’s night-life district. Yaam Reggae Beach Bar

Yaam Reggae Bar is right next to the famous East-Side-Gallery and it invites you to join them at their beach for the Europe Cup 2012 Public viewing. This year they go totally nuts. 1 big screen inside and many smaller screens in their beer garden will give you a perfect public viewing experience.
